Privacy Policy

AUTOMOD ("we," "us," or "our") is a brand of TRAFFICPULSE LLC, registered in Brunswick, Ohio. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the AUTOMOD website (automod.shop), how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.

We don't sell your personal information. We collect only what we need to ship your order, process payment, prevent fraud, and improve the site.

Quick opt-out: use Your Privacy Choices to stop sending analytics and advertising data (Meta Pixel, Conversions API, Microsoft Clarity) for this browser. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals automatically.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Order details: name, email, phone, shipping address, billing address.
• Payment information: card details are entered directly into Stripe Checkout — we never see or store full card numbers. We receive only a transaction ID, the last four digits, and the card brand.
• Customer support: messages you send us by email, including any photos you attach (for warranty or damage claims).

Information collected automatically

• Browsing data: pages viewed, time on page, referring URL, device type, browser type, screen size, IP address (approximate location only — city level).
• Cookies and similar technologies: small files stored in your browser to remember preferences, measure traffic, and run advertising. See "Cookies" below.
• Heatmap and session recordings: Microsoft Clarity may record anonymous interactions on the site (clicks, scrolls, mouse movements) to help us improve usability. No keystrokes in form fields are recorded.

How we use information

• To process and ship your order.
• To send you order confirmations, shipping notifications, and tracking links.
• To respond to support requests and warranty claims.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and illegal activity.
• To run targeted advertising on Facebook and Instagram (Meta Pixel and Conversions API), and to measure ad performance.
• To improve site usability through anonymous analytics.
• To comply with U.S. legal obligations (tax records, subpoenas).

Third parties we share information with

We share only what's necessary, and only with vendors bound by their own privacy obligations.

• Email service — for transactional and (with consent) promotional emails.

We never sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing.

Cookies

We use these cookie categories:

• Strictly necessary: required for cart, checkout, and login. Cannot be disabled.
• Analytics: measure how visitors use the site (Cloudflare Web Analytics, Microsoft Clarity).
• Advertising: Meta Pixel for ads on Facebook and Instagram.

You can disable non-essential cookies using your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to refuse or accept cookies on a per-site basis.

Your rights — California (CCPA / CPRA)

If you're a California resident:

• Right to know what personal information we have about you.
• Right to delete personal information we hold (with some exceptions for tax and legal records).
• Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
• Right to opt out of "selling" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't sell data, but we do share hashed identifiers with Meta for ad matching — email support@automod.shop with subject "Opt-Out CCPA" to opt out.
• Right to non-discrimination — we won't charge you more or deny service for exercising your rights.

Your rights — other U.S. states

If you live in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Florida, Delaware, New Hampshire, New Jersey, or other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws, you have similar rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of targeted advertising. Use the same email contact above with your state name in the subject.

How to exercise your rights

Email support@automod.shop with the subject line "Privacy Request — [your state]." Include your name, the email address you used at checkout, and the request type. We respond within 30 days (45 days under CPRA, with the option to extend by another 45 days).

Data retention

• Order records: 7 years (for tax and accounting).
• Email correspondence: 3 years after last message.
• Web analytics: 14 months.
• Marketing data: until you opt out, then deleted within 30 days.

Children's privacy

AUTOMOD products are intended for adult car owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us — we'll delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard security: HTTPS encryption, payment-level PCI compliance via Stripe, and limited employee access to customer data. No system is perfect — we'll notify affected customers and required regulators within 72 hours of any confirmed data breach affecting personal information.

International users

AUTOMOD ships only within the U.S. If you're accessing the site from outside the U.S., your data is processed in U.S. servers (Cloudflare). We don't currently support GDPR-style data subject requests beyond what U.S. law requires, but you may still email us and we'll respond reasonably.

Changes to this policy

We update this Privacy Policy when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. For material changes, we'll notify you by email and post a notice on the site.
